Kalash School — Foundation
Nursery to Class II. Ages 3–8. Two developmental stages — Toddlers and Explorers. The most important years of a child's life, treated with the seriousness they deserve.
The Kalash Philosophy
Kalash is not a preschool. It is a carefully designed environment where children's senses are activated, curiosity is celebrated, and character is seeded through daily practice — not instruction. There are no exams, no grades, no rankings. Only observation, encouragement, and joy.
“Empathy makes you a better innovator. If I look at the most inspiring moments in my life, it’s when I’ve been able to see the world through others’ eyes.”
Developmental Stages
Nur–LKG–UKG • Age 3–6
Awakening mode. Sensory activation and gentle introduction to the world. Every texture, sound, and colour is a lesson. Play-based, curiosity-driven discovery. Self-learning: 0%.
Class I–II • Age 6–8
Discovery mode. Curiosity meets structure. Early literacy, numeracy, and reasoning take root. Reading, questioning, and connecting ideas as the foundation solidifies.
Every Space Teaches
Kalash classrooms aren't classrooms at all. They're sensory-rich environments with floor cushions, natural materials, art on every wall, and room to move, explore, and grow.
What Makes Kalash Different
Teachers observe daily across all six domains. Anecdotal records, learning stories, photos, and work samples build a living portrait of each child.
Detailed, compassionate descriptions replace grades and marks. Parents receive rich stories of their child's growth, not cold numbers.
A curated collection showing individual growth over time. Evidence of development across Mind, Gyan, Character, Sambandh, Body, and Soul.
✗ No testing — no formal exams or quizzes
✗ No grading — no marks, grades, or scores
✗ No comparison — each child at their own pace
✗ No ranking — no positions or public scores
✗ No scolding — only encouragement and care
✗ No homework pressure — learning stays joyful
By Class II
After five formative years, a Kalash graduate is ready to bloom at Padam.
All senses awakened. Fine and gross motor skills developed. Comfortable with their body and capable of physical expression.

Beginning Ahimsa practice. Empathy and care for others, animals, and the environment is becoming second nature.
Reads and writes in two languages. Vocabulary of 2,000–3,000 words. Confident expression in speech and writing.
Confident with numbers up to 1,000. Basic operations, patterns, and spatial reasoning established through hands-on exploration.
Prepared for inquiry-based learning at Padam. Self-learning capacity at 10%. A strong foundation for the next decade of growth.
5,000 sq ft of Living Classroom
Every Kalash school features a rooftop garden where children grow vegetables, study insects, measure rainfall, and learn patience. Shram starts here — hands in the soil, mind in the sky.
The Space
Texture walls, sound stations, and light play for early sensory activation.
Climbing walls, balance beams, and open spaces for physical development.
Dedicated spaces for painting, clay, rhythm, and creative expression.
Quiet spaces for Dhyana practice and gentle mindfulness from age 3.
